The Cannabis Equipment News team recently traveled to MJBizCon held in Las Vegas from November 28, 2023 through December 1, 2023. At the show, we interviewed equipment manufacturers, cultivators, operators and new product developers to learn more about what they bring to the cannabis industry.
The automated packaging experts at Paxiom launched a slew of new products at MJBizCon 2023, including a new pre-roll family of machinery, a new vision system and more turnkey automation.
The company introduced a medium-rate pre-roll machine to its JuanaRoll product line. While Paxiom is typically focused on high speed and high performance with machines that make 2,000 to 4,000 joints per hour, the company debuted a medium production rate machine that makes some 500 to 600 pre-rolls per hour. The new line is ideal for small- and medium-sized businesses that don't require such high production rates.
Paxiom also debuted the new Vision360, a 360-degree camera system that inspects pre-rolls for holes and other inconsistencies, eliminating human labor from the inspection process. According to Nick Taraborelli, Paxiom Group vice president, companies sometimes have four to ten employees inspecting pre-rolls. The Vision360 can inspect up to 3,000 pre-rolls per hour and can be integrated with any third party automatic pre-roll machine.
The company also demonstrated its fully-integrated lines, automatic pouch filling, gummy counting and full line integration.
