Fake Amazon Van Leads to Illegal Cannabis Operation Bust

It was carrying 246 pounds of packaged cannabis.

The discovery of a fake Amazon delivery van led Oklahoma law enforcement to busting an illegal cannabis grow operation.

In January, the delivery vehicle was stopped by Missouri State Police for multiple traffic violations.

According to KOCO, officials uncovered 246 pounds of packaged cannabis in the vehicle.

The seizure led law enforcement officials back to Bright Stones LLC in Lindsay, Oklahoma.

"OBN began an investigation into this black-market shipment and discovered Bright Stones LLC had obtained its license by fraud, using a 'straw ownership' scheme," said OBN spokesperson Mark Woodward.

After serving a warrant, Oklahoma law enforcement seized 9,143 marijuana plants and 215 pounds of processed marijuana from the Lindsay facility this week.
